We love the Southern Tier and each child that we serve is another way for us to give back and say “thanks!”

Each basket, is filled with donated items--and there are well over 20 of them-- and contains enough goodies and treats to satisfy even the most dedicated golfer.

Finally, one of the baskets has a set of 2nd row tickets to the upcoming Trace Atkins concert at Tioga Downs on Sunday, August 31st!

A P.S.P. PSA From A Room To Heal

There are tragic diseases that affect numerous individuals, and we here at A Room to Heal know the impact that these diseases have on our community. 

After all, we are guided by our mission, to create a healing environment in the homes of children affected by serious medical conditions in the Broome county area.

However, with the upcoming Captain and Crew Golf Tournament, we wanted to educate about a little known, debilitating disease: Progressive Supranuclear Palsy or PSP.

Thee symptoms are characterized by traits that are sometimes confused with Parkinson’s Disease.

This rare brain disorder, affecting approximately 20,000 Americans, is marked by the onset of four different traits:

• Disequilibrium,
• Blurred vision,
• Slurred speech;
• And impaired memory.

Our friend, Dave Fancher, suffered from PSP , and we  are  pleased  to be involved   in the annual golf tournament held in his name, this  Saturday, August 30th. Join us to celebrate the life of this great man.

The Captain and Crew Golf Tournament

A Room to Heal is pleased to be involved with The Captain and Crew Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 30th! We anticipate a shotgun start at 9am with well over 30 teams already registered!

A Room to Heal is proud to be involved with this tournament, held annually in the memory of Dave Fancher, and is pleased to be a recipient of funds raised from the tournament.

There are several baskets to bid on at the tournament, including 2nd row tickets to the upcoming Trace Atkins concert at Tioga Downs on Sunday, August 31st.
